RoHS regulation challenges electronics trade - Grundig Business Systems warrants consistency of its product range! The regulation for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances, (abbr: RoHS) in electrical and electronical devices will become effective on 1.7.2006. This law which regulates the protection of the environment requires amongst others a lead free production of circuit boards and components. This in turn will bring along some big consumer disadvantages: lots of electronic products will simply disappear from the market. Therefore a number of devices from the dictation machine market won't be available any longer. It has to be assumed and some manufacturers have already announced that they will withdraw from expensively redesigning existing products and won't invest in new production technologies. Moreover there has actually been a change from analogue to digital devices in the market of dictation machines and therefore several manufacturers decided to stop development. This will especially hit the area of well proven analogue technologies. All the more important it is that Grundig Business Systems GmbH (GBS) have good news concerning this topic. As manufacturers of dictation and speech processing systems the enterprise guarantees to continue to produce the whole product range for their customers in the future. That's possible because GBS spared no efforts and has been employing a specialists team for two years to professionally prepare and apply the production and manufacturing changes according to the RoHS regulation. All products were checked and, if necessary, newly developed according to this focus. New machines and equipment were acquired either.
